Anonymous: Nice blog! Who are some of your favorite writers? :)

My favorite “literary” writers are not many. I’d say Emerson, Twain, Dostoevsky, and Shakespeare (if only for the questions that arise from his works) are writers that I’ve consistently enjoyed, but to be honest, I can’t name any other writers from the top of my head. Lately, I’ve been reading the works of mystics, or people who encourage something more profound than intellectual understanding or indicate literary genius. Some examples are Rumi, Hafiz, Ella Wheeler Wilcox, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Lao Tzu, but I mean, I welcome anything that holds a mirror to the soul.
